This car was my parent's car bought new in 1978.
The car was "bought" by my cousin in 1980 because my parents did not regularly drive the car.
In 1986, my Dad told me to get to the DMV office and upon seeing the Trans Am in the parking lot, I was confused what my cousin was doing there and upon entering the office, my Dad told me that I "bought a car."
In 2010, my Wife and I decided to resto the car to clean up paint, some engine upgrades and we went to Trans Am Depot in Tallahassee, FL. It was decided to do an LS swap; something only done to two other cars at that time.
Finished in 2014, the car had a built LS7 engine, 4L85e Supermatic transmission, Wilwood brakes, carbon fiber driveshaft, 1970 Pontiac 12 bolt rear end with 3:73 gears.
Later the car was featured in some test video for their upcoming TV Show Trans Am.
The car is driven regularly from North Carolina to Michigan, Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, Ohio, Georgia, Illinois to a variety of car shows and events.
As of 2/5/2022, it has 75,000 miles.
